Zamalek Map
We are located in a very central and safe area on Zamalek island, very close to the City Center and to the airport.
It takes only 20-30 minutes to get to the airport for late night flights, but can take between an hour to an hour and a half any other time of the day because of traffic.
The Guest House is about 10 minutes away by taxi, or a 30 minutes walk to the Egyptian museum, and about 20-30 minutes by taxi to the Pyramids.
Cairo Tower is very close, about 5 minutes walk from the Guest House.
Most of the embassies are in Zamalek, and we are also very close to the Mogamaa, where you renew your visa if needed.

The Metro (the Underground) Map
This is the Metro( the underground) map. The closest Metro station to the Guest House is Nasser station. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the station. A ticket, one way, costs 1 LE.
To visit the Coptic area of Cairo, the Metro (underground) is the easiest way to get there. You go by train to Mar Girgis station, which is the fifth stop from Nasser, and you will be facing the Coptic museum as soon as you get out of the station. All the other churches are on the left and right of the museum.
If you would like to take the Metro (the underground) to the Egyptian museum, it is just one stop to Sadat station, and you will be next to the main entrance to the museum. (Since the Revolution though, the Sadat station has been closed temporarily, until further notice).
