Our Ministry
The Diocesan Guest House is a Ministry of the Diocese of Egypt. Its doors are open to host all Christians who are coming to Egypt to work or serve in the Diocese or do some sightseeing. The Guest House raises awareness to the ministries and institution of the entire diocese.
The Guest House, located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Clergy House, contains 9 rooms. We can accommodate up to 25 people. However, on occasion we are also able to use some of the diocesan flats when they are not in use, and that gives us the opportunity to accommodate more people. This means that in total we can accommodate up to 35 people.
We host many of the Diocese major events, such as the Clergy conference which takes part in October every year, the Expanded Executive Board, Bishop's Dinners, the Synod which happens every other year, and the Ecumenical Lunch which is a monthly meeting for clergy and people from different denominations. In addition to that, we accommodate AST students and some participants of conferences such as the interfaith dialogue.
The most important thing about the Guest House is that people feel very much at home, and we are all like a big international family. It is our job to provide the friendly and family atmosphere. For example, Christmas and Easter days. We invite our guests and others from the English Speaking congregation from All Saints cathedral, who don't have families in Egypt to celebrate with. Then we all get to share a meal, share love and the joy of the occasion, and that makes no body feels lonely.
The best way to contact us is via email.
